Barbara Grajski
Founder & President
Barbara has worked in the legal staffing field since 1989, as well as in the legal profession for more than fifteen years. She pioneered the South Bay offices for a locally owned firm and established both Silicon Valley and San Francisco offices for a national company. Prior to joining the legal staffing field, Barbara worked at major firms in California and Texas as an administrator and paralegal.
Barbara serves on the advisory board for West Valley and DeAnza College's Paralegal Program, and is a member of Women in E-Discovery. She is a past Pacific Region Vice President and board member of the International Paralegal Management Association and a past member of the Association of Legal Administrators. She serves on the state board of directors and on the Golden Gate Chapter's board of directors of California Staffing Professionals . Barbara attended Texas Tech University, where she majored in business administration.
Tedra Best
Recruiting Manager
Silicon Valley office
Tedra has worked in the legal staffing industry since 1999 and brings to Landmark a breadth of valuable experience. Before joining Landmark, she successfully managed a branch office of a national legal staffing company. Prior to that, she worked for several years as a corporate securities paralegal at a boutique law firm specializing in corporate formation of emerging growth companies. Tedra also has first-hand in-house experience, having worked as a key member of the legal department for a top Silicon Valley semiconductor company.
Tedra received her B.A. in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Barbara and her paralegal certificate from the University of San Diego.
Denise Bottarini

San Francisco office
Denise has been in the legal staffing field since 1992 and is experienced with both direct hire and temporary placement. Before joining Landmark, she was instrumental in the establishment of the legal division of an international staffing company in the San Francisco and Peninsula markets. In addition to her staffing background, Denise leverages her sixteen years of experience as a paralegal, having worked both in major San Francisco law firms and corporations during her career.
Denise received her B.A. in English from the University of California at Davis and her Paralegal Certificate from the University of San Diego Paralegal Program. She is a founding member and sits on the Board of EVVIVA!, an auxiliary of the Museo Italo Americano in San Francisco, dedicated to fostering Italian heritage and culture in the Bay Area. Denise is also a member of Women in E-Discovery.
Gloria Bulhoes
Managing Director
Silicon Valley office
Gloria has specialized in attorney and legal support staff placement since 1998 and, as an attorney herself, leverages her experience on behalf of her clients and candidates. Prior to working in the staffing field, Gloria practiced as a litigation attorney in Silicon Valley. Before joining Landmark, Gloria implemented a project attorney placement division for an international staffing company. In addition to spearheading this division, Gloria was also a Recruiting Manager for the regular hire placement of attorneys and all legal support staff.
Gloria received her JD from Santa Clara University and her BA in Business Management from Saint Mary's College. She is a member of the State Bar of California and the Santa Clara County Bar.
Michael Herwig
Business Development Manager
San Francisco office
Mike brings a breadth of legal and business experience to his role in working with clients to assess their needs and coordinate recruiting teams. Prior to joining Landmark, Mike directed business development activities for a Silicon Valley start-up company and a legal software company, consulted for a global accounting firm, and worked in the global alliances group of a major technology company.
Mike received his J.D. from the University of San Francisco and his B.A. in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley.
Janet Stein
Recruiting Manager
Silicon Valley office
Janet has over 20 years of experience in the recruiting and human resources field. She has managed the employment and human resources functions for international law firms in both Silicon Valley and Washington D.C. Additionally, Janet provided consulting services to and managed the employment function for manufacturing and technology companies in Northern and Southern California.
Janet received her B.A. in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. She has also been active in the Association of Legal Administrators and the Society for Human Resources Management.
