Legal Staffing Firm Honors Top Candidates
San Jose, CA January 21, 2009 San Jose-based legal staffing firm Landmark Legal Professionals announces that it has named Elsa Chang and Micah Miller its contract employees of the year for 2008.
Chang has served as a contract attorney at Wilson Sonsini's Palo Alto office over the past two years on a variety of projects. She was nominated specifically for her work in helping to lead a team of contract attorneys and being an integral part of another team that successfully completed a transaction valued at hundreds of millions of dollars. Micah Miller is a legal records clerk for the Palo Alto office of Pillsbury Winthrop. He was nominated by his supervisor for his ability to lead by example and for taking initiative within his role at the firm. Pillsbury was so pleased with his performance that Micah was recently hired as a regular employee at the firm.
In separate awards ceremonies held at Wilson Sonsini and Pillsbury Winthrop, Barbara Grajski, founder of Landmark Legal Professionals, presented the honorees with a keepsake memento and a cash award. Grajski states, "I would like to thank Elsa and Micah for their hard work, dedication and willingness to go above and beyond what was expected of them. We are very proud of both of them and are fortunate to have them on the Landmark team."
This is the second year that candidates have been honored for their work at Landmark's clients. Honorees are nominated by candidates and clients in two categories; Contract Attorney and Non-Attorney. Grajski says of Landmark's employees of the year program, "Landmark's goal is to help our candidates build their careers through us by placing them in positions that are challenging and rewarding. I truly believe we have the best candidates in the industry and this is just one way we can give recognition to them for their talents and their service to our clients."
